Get It Yet?
In all I read today about the FBI refusing to prosecute Hillary, I thought Karl Denninger said it best:
The Rule of Law was officially burned and buried today on live television by the Director of the FBI.
You therefore no longer have any moral requirement to adhere to same; your entire analysis must now rest on whether you are sufficiently afraid of being shot — and nothing more.
America, as envisioned and fought for by the founders, died today at 11:00 AM ET, 7/5/2016.
240 years and one day from birth to death.
Or, as Trump tweeted: #riggedsystem. I have argued that this was obvious ten years ago. So did the immortal George Carlin:
…who continues to make more and more sense, the older I get. There is simply no way in hell to restore this country, by voting for the lesser of two evils offered up by the oligarch’s Incumbrepublocrat duopoly. â—„Daveâ–º
And, perhaps the most succinct reaction for the day, was our own Cris’ bitter comment to Tony’s more fulsome screed:
…indeed, Chris… welcome to my world. 😉 â—„Daveâ–º
I did see “giant meteor” at 13% in the last presidential poll I looked at.
I’ve essentially been voting for giant meteor my whole life, since I’ve always stuck with the candidates who are most likely to disrupt the system. I’m glad to see so many people suddenly on board this year.
LOL… at 13% they might have to invite it to the debates. Talk about must see TV… 😉
The most interesting statistic each election, is how many of us voted None-of-the-Above, by the simple expedient of boycotting their sham election. They like to call us apathetic… Did Carlin sound apathetic? Do I? 😀 â—„Daveâ–º
Actually, Director Comey did a pretty good job of tacking Hillary’s huge butt to the wall. The more I think about it, the more I suspect that Comey was ordered NOT to recommend an indictment and he did so in the most damaging way (to Hillary) that he possibly could.
We will know more RE this theory after he testifies to Congress tomorrow.
Troy
I agree with this assessment, Troy. I still don’t know how they got to him; but he certainly was not doing her any personal favors. History may be rather kind to him in the end. You will notice that nobody is crowing over it, or claiming it exonerates her. â—„Daveâ–º
Thing is at this point in time a recommendation of indictment to the DOJ would be counter productive from an election point of view. It would actually help Hillary. All the information he gave out would have remained secret while awaiting a grand jury. How fast do you think Lynch would have pulled that together if at all? It would have been after November then Lynch could simply throw the prosecution and the grand jury would fail to indict. At least this way her crimes are there for all to see.
Agreed, Chris, and this new RNC ad would not exist:

…and that would be a real shame. 🙂 â—„Daveâ–º
Also, it is still within the realm of possibility that the Obamanation is looking for an excuse to cancel (or at least delay) the general election. Maybe even stir the pot hard enough to justify martial law??
Troy
At this point most anything is possible, Troy; but I doubt it would involve Hillary’s FBI investigation. Half the sheeple will vote for her, no matter what. If they want an excuse for martial law, the easiest thing to do would be start a few race riots. Heads up in Cleveland… â—„Daveâ–º
Watching Dallas live… did I mention race riots? Buckle up… â—„Daveâ–º
Far better ways to accomplish that Troy. Throw the switch on the power grid and call it a terrorist attack. Most wouldn’t last a week. They would be begging government to do something. Anything. For God sake our cell phone batteries are dead.
