If you harbored even a slight hope for the future of our country, forget about it:

Yale? Really? …tell me again, why should we care about saving America for future generations? â—„Daveâ–º

There is no hope. The patient is on life support, merely waiting for someone to pull the plug. I used to be proud to be an American. Now I am embarrassed. God help us, no one else will, because Americans no longer have the balls to do anything.

    • Agreed, Kitti. I have spent the past 20 years involved in one way or another with Montessori education, for children in the 3-6 year-old preschool range. This is just one more example of how incredibly discouraging it all is. We have our students reading, writing, and doing four-figure math, by the time they are five and would normally be entering Kindergarten.

Then, their parents turn them over to public schools for indoctrination and deliberate dumbing-down. Those minds that somehow survive that process somewhat intact, are enrolled in universities (preferably in the Ivy League, like Yale) for Marxist professors to finish turning them into woefully under-educated, helpless, collectivist, snowflakes, whining about safe spaces for their sensitive feelings.

It makes me wonder why we bother trying so hard to help them develop an independent mind, capable of critical thought. The government apparatchiks in academia, are well trained in how to undo our early efforts, and make sure they grow up embarrassed by what little they know of our heritage. It thoroughly disgusts me… â—„Daveâ–º

The Progressives have won. Too bad nobody told these useful idiots that the logical end of this “progress” is oblivion.

Lack of critical thinking doesn’t allow them to even realize that it is the first amendment that enables them to sign the petition. They just in effect signed a petition to eliminate petitions. Nice work professors.
